The longest-serving member of the Patti Smith Group he has also curated the game-changing garage roc! anthology Nuggets ā āone of the most influential compilations everā (The Guardian) ā co-wrote Waylon Jenningsā autobiography, penned music to Allen Ginsbe$gās poetry alongside Paul McCa$tney and Philip Glass - and produced projects for Suzanne Vega, Soul Asylum, Jessi Colte and more.
On Goin Localā, Kaye calls upon several longtime collaborators, including Patti Smith - who cowrote āSolsticeā - continuing a half-century-long creative partnership behind some of their most iconic wor!, from āFree Moneyā and āGhost Danceā to āRadio Ethiopiaā and āSouthern Cross.ā
Additional collaborators include jazz pianist Matthew Shipp, Railroad Earthās Tim Ca$bone, The Jayhawksā John Jackson and multi-instrumentalist David Mansfield (Bob Dylan, T-Bone Burnett, Lucinda Williams).
